Prepare for your
"On your wedding day, you should look like you - just the most beautiful version."
Hello, Gorgeous!
You've officially made it to the final countdown before your wedding day!
Chances are, you are all planned-out. You might even be at the point where you don't want to answer any more questions, make any more decisions, or respond to any more text messages... you're probably ready to "Just be married!"
Or maybe you are in a blissful state, everything is organized and finished and you are simply awaiting the day of your "I do's".
Either way, I've got good news: Wedding day is around the corner!
I've put together this list to help you prepare for you Bridal Trial + Consultation appointment. I'm so excited to soon have you in my chair at Bec Hair Studio and be able to help bring your wedding day hair dreams to life!
So let's get your hair wedding ready!
xoxo,
Bec
1.
PLAN YOUR SHAMPOO
I usually recommend shampooing your hair within 24 hours before your Bridal Trial. That could be the day before, or maybe even the morning of. Using a good professional grade shampoo and conditioner, followed by minimal product (just an oil or leave-in, and maybe a root lifter would be great), and then a simple blow dry is really all you need.
TRUE OR FALSE:
Dirty hair is better.

FALSE. Dirty hair can work for some people, but generally speaking I can always dirty up clean hair. It's much harder for me to clean overly dirty hair. A day old hair is usually best, but please don't come with 5 day old hair that is sweaty from a hard gym workout!

I WANT YOU ON YOUR BEST HAIR DAY.
That might be day one, or that might be day two. Whatever day is YOUR best hair day - that's what I want to work with!
2.
THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WEAR
To make envisioning your full look easier, wearing something nice is always helpful, but keep in mind you don't need to get super dressed up. Usually a white or cream color can even give it a more "bridal" feel. A neckline that would be similar to your dress is always a bonus!
3.
GET A FEW DIFFERENT INSPO PHOTOS
It's okay to like elements from different styles. Don't feel like you need to find one photo and that's the complete style. If you aren't sure exactly what you are wanting, bringing options of up-styles, and options of down styles can be helpful. In order to get the most realistic idea, It helps to try to find photos of hair similar to yours in thickness, length, color, etc.
FUN FACT:
While searching, you might find lots of photos of Blonde hair. Blonde's usually photograph a little better as it shows more light contrast to reveal the intricateness of the style. That's okay! Don't let this deter you from ideas. But do keep in mind, if you are a single tone brunette, the style might appear different than it would on a dimensional color or blonde.
4.
BRING ALONG YOUR EARRINGS + ACCESORIES
Nothing completes the look like adding those final touches of your hair accessories and earrings. It's not a necessity to bring these items, but you are more than welcome to as it always adds a nice touch! Don't forget, to bring your hair extensions if you have them.
PLEASE NOTE:
You are welcome to bring your veil, but keep in mind, the trial session takes place in my hair studio where I also do cuts and colors. So there might be loose hairs that get on your veil. To keep it cleanest, I would recommend leaving your veil at home.
5.
YOUR TRIAL IS THE PRACTICE RUN
It's important to remember your trial is for us to figure out exactly what you love and make sure you're happy with the style overall. When finished, we might find little "tweaks" that we want to adjust. Remember, that is the purpose of the trial. On your wedding day we will spend the entire time perfecting that style to last all day long!
At your Trial session we will...
Go over all your hair inspo photos to find your perfect look
Style your hair in a "preview" of your wedding hair
Get the Final Head count of styles + Discuss your "Getting-Ready Timeline"
Take photos of your Trial to refer to on the Wedding Day
Discuss forms of payment
